SSS Service Charter


The purpose of our section is to ensure that UCT makes effective use of student administrative systems. To do so, we provide functional support to users of student administrative systems.

At SSS, we strive to:

  • Provide training that supports your role
  • Provide accurate and accessible support materials
  • Record, respond to and resolve your queries promptly
  • Help you do your job better and make your experience every time you contact us a positive and enabling one

We will:

  • Treat you professionally, courteously and respectfully
  • Ensure that the timing and content of our training matches operational needs of your office
  • Ensure that the information we provide you with is as accurate as possible
  • Encourage and acknowledge your feedback and respond accordingly

You can help us by:

  • Logging your calls with adequate information
  • Ensuring that you take responsibility for your training needs
  • Being accountable for your learning by participating and engaging during training
  • Being aware and making use of additional support structures set up by SSS
  • Providing us with feedback on our services
